Engines and Engine Manuals for owners of Traditional Boats
www.thamesengines.co.uk

"Is there an old boat engine lurking unloved and unused in the corner of your life? Don't let things get to the point where you are obliged to dump it, there is a way of finding it a good home. We run a service which puts those seeking a traditional engine in touch with those who wish to get rid of one. We store engines which we are given, and list on our website those for which the owner would like some money. The TVBC gets a donation from us on a direct sale, and we ask the seller to make a donation on an indirect sale. At the moment we are not seeing many "new" engines coming onto the website, but we know they are out there, very probably taking up space which could be useful for something else.
Have a look at our website www.thamesengines.co.uk and let us know what you need to move on to a good home.

BMC diesels: am I the last person to know that you can buy brand new BMC diesels, 1.5 and 1.8s, with gearbox, made in India and Turkey respectively? I was speaking at the RNLI rally at Kingston to a man who has installed several, and could put interested parties in touch.

Books & Manuals

Our collection of engine manuals is growing, and we have both parts and overhaul manuals for most of the Morris Navigator variants as well as the Vedette, P3, R3, P5, P6 and P55 Stuart Turner engines, and many others.

Would you let us have some information? Could you run us off a photocopy of any manuals you may have for any older engines not listed above? We are happy to pay for the copying and they could help other boating nuts in the future

Please note that we are not a separate commercial concern and that the club members own the information.
Regards,
